Christmas Gift Soap Making Class; Dec. 02
Your skin will benefit from using a handcrafted soap because handmade soap is made of natural oils and butters like skin loving olive oil, avocado oil, castor oil, rich shea butter and coconut oil for the foamy lather we all like. Most commercially produced bars are a concoction of synthetic ingredients, foaming agents and detergents. Detergents like sodium laurel sulfate (sls) are know for irritating skin and will inflame all types of dermatitis.
Making your own own soap or knowing a soap maker will allow you complete control over the ingredients. You can even request a bar heavy in olive oil for moisture or a bar heavy with coconut oil for grease cutting action.
